1. Scope

This policy explains how ReelMart collects, uses, stores and shares personal data. It applies to reelmart.in, the ReelMart application, and storefronts operated using ReelMart software.

2. Data we collect

From Buyers

mobile number (used as your account identifier)
name and delivery address
order history and transaction records
email address, where provided
device and usage information, including IP address and browser type

From Sellers

business name, GSTIN, PAN
proprietor or director name and contact details
bank account details for settlement
store content and product data

Automatically

log data, cookies and similar technologies
information about how the Platform is used

3. Why we collect it

to create and maintain your account
to process orders, payments and refunds
to arrange and track delivery
to generate GST-compliant invoices
to send transactional notifications about your orders
to provide customer support
to detect and prevent fraud
to comply with legal and tax obligations
to improve the Platform

We do not sell personal data.

4. Legal basis and consent

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, for performance of a contract with you, and to comply with legal obligations.

5. Who we share data with

The Seller you purchase from — your name, delivery address and contact number, so they can fulfil your order
Logistics partners (currently NimbusPost and its courier partners) — for delivery
Payment partners (currently Razorpay) — for payment processing
Communication partners (currently MSG91) — for order notifications by SMS and WhatsApp
Government authorities — where required by law

We do not share your data with other Sellers on the Platform. A Seller can see only their own orders and only the Buyers who have purchased from them.

6. Cross-store data

Your single account works across all ReelMart stores. Your order history across all stores is visible to you on reelmart.in. Individual Sellers see only orders placed with them and cannot see your purchases from other stores.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and thereafter as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Invoice and transaction records are retained for the period required under GST and income tax law.

8. Security

Data is stored on servers located in India (AWS Mumbai region and Supabase ap-south-1). We apply access controls, encryption in transit, and separation between Seller accounts. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

You may:

access the personal data we hold about you
request correction of inaccurate data
request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to records we must retain by law
withdraw consent to non-essential processing

10. Children

The Platform is not intended for persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication, session management and analytics. Sessions are scoped to individual store domains and are not shared between stores.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified through the Platform.
